Becoming a driving instructor in Poland
The procedures of becoming a licensed driving instructor in Poland are similar to those in other European countries. The lowest required level of education is a secondary school diploma. The candidate must be a driving licence holder. The minimum time of experience as a driver is three years. He or she must also be fit, healthy and psychologically predisposed to perform the job. These requirements have to be certified by a GP and a psychologist. Additional characteristics include a college or university diploma, broad general knowledge, problem solving skills and well-developed communication skills. All candidates have to pass necessary examinations. Their theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills will be tested. The material for driving instructor courses includes psychology, teaching methodology, traffic rules, driving techniques, safety on the road and practical training. The number of classes you have to attend depends on the category you want to teach. For A, A1 and B1, it"s only ten classes whereas for B, C, D, the number is thirty. The course may last from three to six months and can cost anything between 3,500 to 5,000 PLN. Having passed all the necessary examinations, every driving instructor has to register at the driving instructor registry office.
